Okay, I admit it. I am a fanatic when it comes to brushing my teeth and keeping them as bright and white as possible. And that means I’ve bought in almost any sonic or electric toothbrush out there, from all major brands. Unfortunately, most of them did not meet the hype, but a model that really stands out in terms of price, performance and overall effectiveness, the Philips HX 5351/46 Sonicare Essence Power Toothbrush. Today I’m sharing my experiences with you, but first let’s take a quick look at the specs.
Essence Sonicare HX 5351/46 from Philips is a rechargeable sonic toothbrush that dramatically reduces plaque and stains from snuff, coffee and tea by 80% after only four weeks of use. The dynamic action of cleaning fluids responsible for teeth whitening is possible thanks to the 31,000 strokes per minute emitted by the internal engine powerful. And not only the teeth brighter and whiter, but the Sonicare essence also maintains healthy gums effects of gingivitis and periodontal pockets decreased.
Experience with Philips Sonicare Essence HX 5351/46
Okay, enough with the product specs. What you really wonder whether the Philips Sonicare Essence actually does what it claims to do. The answer is yes! I’ve been using this model only three times a day for several months and have seen a dramatic improvement of both the whiteness of my teeth and the health and appearance of my gums. The spots on my teeth are gone and my gums are pink and firm. Best of all, everyone around me from friends to family have noticed the change because I constantly get compliments on my teeth!
Apart from the fact that it works and works well, I love to use them as convenient toothbrush. It is much slimmer than other models, so it do not feel like you are with a branch brushing. I also love the built-in smart timer that always made sure that I put in my full-time two minutes brush. Best of all, it lasts for about two weeks on a single charge, so I did not take to the charger when I travel.
Review’s conclusion:
I’ve used tons of different sonic toothbrushes over the years and most have ended up in the trash or are now gathering dust in a drawer, but not the Philips Sonicare Essence. This is hands down one of the best electric toothbrushes on the market today, and for the price, performance and features you get, it simply can not be beat. I would no reservations recommending it to anyone who wants to keep their pearly whites looking bright and beautiful.

I have researched the Sonicare toothbrushes and found to be the best value for this new model, I am very happy with it. I read all the reviews for the other models, she was holding in my hand at the store and found the only difference between this and the more expensive models in the style of the handle and the fancy lights show the remaining battery life. The Elite models have the beep every 30 seconds during the 2-minute timer. This model has all the features I need: Easy access brush (Uses the same replacement heads as Elite models), 2-minute timer. Since these things only last a couple of years anway, what’s the point of spending another $ 30 or more for features you do not need to clean your teeth. Buy this toothbrush, and use the saved money to buy replacement heads.
The essence is my second Sonicare Sonicare. Previously, I used a step, which lasted about four years. Before that, he had a brand of electric toothbrush. Some comments below.
In general, any Sonicare would be a good investment for you. No doubt, the years of its use has saved my time and money at the dentist. By now you’ve seen from other comments is so effective in cleaning your teeth. As I get older, I realize how effective a job that also makes stop my receding gums. I believe that the sound system than other brands of rotating mechanical approaches, which seemed to have more of an unpleasant taste and can not be used with any brand or style of toothpaste, unlike the Sonicare.
Essence and Elite models using the thinner compared with the heads of the advance. Delgado is more comfortable as you maneuver the head around her mouth. In addition, thin heads tend to stay cleaner and residue buildup, which reduces the effort and the need for periodic head cleaning. So far, I have found the slim goes to last as long as the reserve: about 6 months.
What about the essence against Elite? Other reviews have summarized. Sonicare (Philips, actually) against elite segments of the essence to throw in a couple of extra bells and whistles. I recommend you seriously consider the essence and put the money you save for the replacement of head.
On use goes, it’s hard not to have an effective technique of brushing with Sonicare. Place against the teeth and gums at an angle and move it through the side surfaces of the mouth to the other. Be prepared for a moderately strong beep in the skull, which can be a bit misleading to others in the room with you because it is a much more muted sound to them (only if they have a need to talk to you while brush). Yes, if you find the plastic of the brush against your teeth, you get the noise effect, which is a bit surprising. With a little practice, that rarely happens unless you rush your brushing movements.
If you use a fluoride toothpaste and have a particular pattern of brushing, for example, start up front, down the inside-in the end, just reverse the pattern of additional times you brush each day. Why? Fluoride to give a chance to stay in different teeth surfaces before rinsing.
Finally, I make a point of disconnect my Sonicare between load and full load and run down to complete the download. Although rechargeable battery technology has reached the point where the “memory effect” was used to experiment with batteries Ni-Cad is not much of a problem, I think that this approach tends to keep the battery conditioning and takes you a little more mileage from your brush handle. The sacrifice that makes this approach is that last brushing as the batteries drain to empty will probably be incomplete. So bring out the old manual waiting until the end and then attach the brush to load. With my new scent, I think I can go a week in this way, brushing twice daily.
Sonicare believe that one of these devices is a great investment that will pay dividends in the long term. Highly recommended.
